Permanent KVM-over-IP
What is a KVM?
KVM (abbreviation from keyboard video mouse) is an input and output device that provides an alternative way to remotely access your server if it is not available via SSH. Connecting to the KVM allows you to troubleshoot availability problems.
What is the difference between a temporary KVM-over-IP and a permanent one?
A permanent KVM-over-IP
- Supports the possibility to write the client's ISO image.
- Can be used at anytime.
A permanent KVM (iDRAC) is only available on DELL servers.
