Why do I need a code (secret) word?
What is a code (secret) word?
A code word is a word you chose during the registration of your account. Please don't forget it. Our specialists will request it to make sure no third party can gain access to your account and services.
When do I use a code word?
FASTVPS specialists request a secret word in a ticket to do the following:
-
To verify your identity before updating your contact information, sending you documents, or providing confidential information about your account or services.
-
To confirm actions of potential risk taken on your server, for example OS reinstallation, a change of root password, service activation, or a termination of the server rent agreement.
How can I change the code word?
-
If you remember the old code word, you can update it in My account section -> Authorization -> Change your code word.
-
If you don't remember your code word, please contact our customer care specialists
-
There is an alternative way to verify your identity:
-
Verify your identity via email.
-
Legal entities can specify the number, date and the amount of the two latest payment orders for the main service in the ticket. If you have less than 2 payment orders, one order for the service connection will do as well. This information can be obtained from the accounting department.
If you can't verify you identity via one of the methods described above, please do the following:
-
Send us a photo or a scanned copy of the account owner's identity document. Material information (ID document number) can be hidden.
-
-
Our specialist will send you a form where you should type a new code word in the input field to update it.
