Does a hardware RAID controller come with or without a battery?

By default, a hardware RAID controller comes without a battery. The battery can be purchased separately. All the current prices are available in Additional Service Cost in the Help section.

In case of the DELL DX291 and DX151 plans, the BBU battery comes with a 8-port RAID controller.

To replace a battery using the EX/PX plans, you need to make a one-time payment of EUR 169.

It is impossible to replace a battery using the DX291 and DX151 plans. If the battery goes out of order, you will need to replace the whole RAID controller. If that's the case, please expect a downtime.
