Reboot types

You can restart the server via the SSH using the reboot command or similar.

You can also reboot it via your billing account.

Soft reset

The server receives a ctrl-alt-delete signal. This is a safe reboot because the OS will wait until all services shut down.

Hard reset

The server is restarted using the Reset button. You should use this option only if the soft reset did not work.

Manual reset

If none of the above was useful, send a request for manual reboot of the server.

A request will be sent to the DC and a specialist will reboot your server manually within an hour. Once the server is restarted, you will receive a corresponding ticket.

Important!

Not all servers support all three reboot options. For example, for VPS only a hard reset can be performed.
